There are 2 DLC’s due out in June that are definitely worth getting excited about. Modern Warfare 2 will add the Resurgence DLC on June 3rd for Xbox Live (No word as of yet for PSN) which will feature 5 new maps. 2 of them (Vacant and Strike) will be recycled from the original Modern Warfare and 3 maps (Trailer Park, Fuel and Carnival) will be new. (Trailer Park sounds kinda fun.) It will cost 1200 Microsoft points (around $15) which is that same price that angered many gamers for the 5 maps they had to pay for in the first DLC, Stimulus Package.
Despite the seemingly steep price, Stimulus Package sold over 1 million units in the first 24 hours and over 2.5 million overall. Hopefully, the release of this DLC will not bring a host of problems with it as was the case with Stimulus Package.
Bioware’s Mass Effect 2 will add the Overlord expansion pack to its arsenal. Costing 560 Microsoft points ($7), it will feature over 2 hours of gameplay, 5 additional planets based on a single story based on a powerful Geth AI that has gone rogue. There will be no more squad mates for this DLC and Executive Producer Casey Hudson has confirmed that Kasumi will be the last squad addition for Mass Effect 2. Overlord will be the largest expansion yet for the game that has seen 4 other DLC’s since its release earlier this year.
